Aia is a fragrance of dry, elemental clarity, conceived around guaiacwood

— a material of rare smokiness and quietly resinous depth. This ancient

wood anchors the composition with a low, unhurried intensity: woody,

faintly sweet, with a thread of smoke that settles slowly into the room.

At the heart of encens à la aia, thyme and sage introduce a sharp, sun-dried

herbaceous note — spare and Mediterranean in character, as though cut

from a hillside in full summer heat. Dry amber extends the warmth beneath

them, adding a powdery, resinous resonance that holds the composition in

a lasting, sober stillness.

Cedarwood and hinoki complete the structure with the quiet authority

of aged wood — clean, precise, and deeply rooted in Japanese craft tradition.
