The Founder

Before launching her namesake label in 2005, Ulrika led a successful career as an interior and fashion stylish, traveling the globe with publications such as Vogue and Elle.
Ulrika has won several awards such as The Golden Button in 2014, for best designer, Elle award for Best Accessory Brand and Prize of Honour Award.

In 2010 Ulrika founded an independent, biannual print magazine of the same name. Rika magazine is Ulrikas tool to show the world what inspires her, her philosophy. Ulrika looks at women as muses with each issue featuring, and celebrating fearless, strong women in creative industries.

Not one to limit herself, Lundgren’s empire also consists of Maison Rika, an intimate guesthouse that encapsulates the essence of her world. Maison Rika is located across the road from Rika’s flagship store on the historical 9 streets in Amsterdam.

The Rika world is constantly evolving with each new project complimenting the existing. Staying true to her vision, Ulrika only enters projects that she truly believes in.

Rika by Ulrika Lundgren

Rika By Ulrika Lundgren is closely connected to Ulrikas personal style and the inspiration she gains from like-minded women. “I’m very much inspired by the women I have around me; I’m always thinking of their  character and style and how they would wear these clothes.”

Many of the pieces are cut generously, with an oversized relaxed ease; a man style coat, classic shirt dresses with elongated sleeves and exaggerated cuffs, jackets in bright colours and cashmere blend tees designed to drape.

The masculine feel works seamlessly back with feminine tailoring. Together, the clothes seem like the kinds of things you’d want to wear so often, you might be inspired to purge your closet of everything else.

Designed to age beautifully and be worn and built on season after season; cool, modern-minded clothes and accessories. In Ulrika’s own words “It’s all about a simple way of wearing clothes. Functional and easy going.”
